Miller Brick Memorial Wall

The mission of the Miller Brick Memorial Wall is to provide a lasting memorial to all of the heroes, war veterans, and fire and police personnel who have and continue to sacrifice for us daily. After all, brick lasts forever.

The two images poignantly portray the spirit of hope and commitment to our country that was echoed in the sentiments of the company's owners. The mural was conceived by Miller Brick Company president, Joe Degnan and designed by Stan Eisentrager, an independent artist for Endicott Clay Products, Fairbury, Nebraska.

The mural, 6-foot by 14-foot, took four weeks to carve and several days to install during recent renovations and expansion of the Miller Brick facilities. You can visit the memorial at 734 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, New York or phone 585-458-7745 for more information.

Are you interested in a Mural?

Clay brick murals are a timeless art form and add a unique element to any type of structure. Perhaps you want to create a welcoming entrance to your subdivision development, or incorporate a historical art piece into your building. From whimsical to stoic, historical to promotional; murals can say a lot.

The process of creating these sculptures involves dry-stacking the unfired (green) clay units and then carving them. Once the mural has been carved, the individual units are numbered, dismantled, and fired through the tunnel kiln. They are then taken to the site and reassembled with mortar, in much the same way as a normal brick wall.

If you are interested in helping create your own piece of brick art, contact Miller Brick for
